I Spent Three Decades Inside the System. Then I Built One.

I didn't start as a framework designer or an AI strategist. I started where most of the professionals I serve started — inside a system that was designed by someone else, for someone else's benefit, and optimized to extract exactly what I was best at.

For three decades, I navigated corporate systems that extract brilliance — organizations that identify your highest capability, build processes around it, and promote you just enough to keep producing while retaining ownership of everything you create. I watched it happen to talented people around me. I felt it happening to me. And I reached a point where I couldn't keep pretending not to notice.

The question I kept coming back to was always the same: if you can see the system clearly — how it extracts, who it serves, what it costs — what do you do with that clarity? Do you stay and try to reform from inside? Do you leave and build your own? And if you build your own, how do you protect it from being absorbed by the next system that notices your value?

That question became The Pivot Play — a strategic architecture for professionals ready to stop being optimized by systems they didn't design and start authoring their own. Four phases: See It, Leave It, Build It, Protect It. Not a self-help book. A blueprint.

Then AI arrived at a scale that changed everything. Suddenly the systems reshaping careers weren't just organizational — they were technological. And the professionals most at risk were the same ones who had always been at risk: the people doing the most valuable work with the least structural power. The ones being told to "upskill" without being given a credible path to do so.

That's where APEX was born — a five-tier AI proficiency certification that measures what people can actually do, not what they've been exposed to. Evidence-based. Competency-driven. Built with equity as a design principle, not an afterthought. Designed for the vast middle that every other AI education ecosystem ignores.

The Pivot Play and APEX are two expressions of one thesis: systems are designed by someone, for someone. If you are not the architect, you are the material. My work is about making sure more people get to be architects.

What I Bring to the Stage & the Table

The Practitioner's Perspective

I don't speak about systems theoretically. I've been inside them — navigating the politics, building the capabilities, and eventually deciding to build my own. That perspective is what makes my frameworks practical.

Equity as Design Intelligence

Having been the person most often excluded from the rooms where technology strategy gets decided, I build frameworks that don't repeat that pattern. Equity isn't my afterthought — it's my design advantage.

The Ability to Name What Others Feel

Audiences consistently say the same thing: "You said the thing I've been thinking but couldn't articulate." That's not a gift — it's thirty years of paying very close attention.
